A small ranch house in the countryside gets a full gut and remodel, including a change of roof pitch, 2 story extension, and larger garage. The concept is driven by the client’s story; a family of 4 moving from a small home in the city, for more space in the country. I created an elegant, yet casual retreat from the city. Subtle opulent features combined with materials inspired by nature give a certain softness while maintaining an overall sense of family and tradition.
